The Long Goodbye: Part 2

CBS News Correspondent, Barry Petersen, has had to make some difficult decisions regarding his wife’s diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Seeking outside professional care, realizing that his role in her life had drastically changed, and the eventual placement of her in a full time care facility were extremely tough things to handle. Realizing that your partner may never return to you, processing and reacting to that information is difficult. In this segment, Barry describes how he has made the difficult decision to seek out another relationship while he still is caring for his wife, a decision he says that some may find offensive.
