Newspaper Series Examines Alzheimer’s Up Close

A Pennsylvania newspaper is taking an in-depth and extended look at the ripple effect of Alzheimer’s and dementia in their new multimedia series, “No Longer Me”.

The staff at the Observer-Reporter decided to embark on this yearlong project after recognizing Alzheimer’s pervasiveness throughout the local community. They aim to raise awareness about the often overlooked impact Alzheimer’s and dementia have on caregivers, loved ones, the medical community and more.

This special reporting project encompasses not only written articles, but also video and blog posts, all of which are accessible from a special section of the Observer-Reporter website. Topics covered include everything from the financial impact of these diseases, to medical treatments and future outlooks.
