Being a caregiver is a tough job, especially when you care for someone with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia. You’re often confronted with problems like the moodiness, confusion, and stubbornness in the patients you care for, which can be far more difficult to cope with than physical ailments. But of course, dementia caregivers often deal with those physical ailments in their patients as well.
Phew! Talk about exhausting! But when the going gets tough, good caregivers kick into overdrive. They’re practically superheroes when you think about it.
