I Am Not Alone

Often, the social stigma and challenges of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease can make for a socially isolating experience. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are many others with similar situations who can relate to the unique experience of being and Alzheimer’s patient or caregiver.

This video by the United States’ Health and Human Services department features an interview with Alan as he relates his wife’s battle with Alzheimer’s and his role as a caretaker. Through the help of government and nonprofit resources, Alan has been able to get the support and advice he needs.
