Gregg Segal’s: Remember The Alzheimer’s Photography Project

When looking at elderly individuals, many of us can admit that we sometimes forget who they once were. They were young, vibrant, loved, married, and lived life fully. But it’s not only us who forget that, those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s start to slowly forget these things about themselves as well.

Gregg Segal took interest in capturing through photos, the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s with pictures of of their former selves. A tribute to the lives of these people, it’s a reminder of who they once were and the beautiful life they had lived. Alzheimer’s is about the decline of one’s memory and Segal wanted to do a photography piece about remembering. This project pays tribute to these individual’s memories and how they should be remembered.
