This Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Documentary is So Powerful, It’s Being Shown To Medical Students

At the age of 61, Ed’s wife Pam was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Pam has three kids, one of which is a son named Banker.

Banker and his wife, Anna, produced this inspiring documentary about Pam’s life with Alzheimer’s. Through filming, they were able to better understand the strength of Pam’s marriage with Ed.

Their full-length documentary was broadcasted on the PBS series “POV.”

In the film, Ed talks about how Pam’s smile has never faded and helps keep him grounded and patient. But with all the devotion Ed has for Pam, the family now worries about Ed’s own welfare, as all his focus and energy is being channeled into being a full-time caregiver for his wife.

The strength of the film and the powerful insights it offers is validated by the health care community, as it is now CME- and CEU-accredited.

In addition, Banker and his wife have set up a sharing site to help other families share their stories and have their voices heard.

Watch the beautiful and heart-wrenching story that Banker tells so well in the video below.
