Carey Mulligan, actor of The Great Gatsby and Drive fame, shares her personal experience with Alzheimer’s disease. Her Gran has suffered from Alzheimer’s for about 11 years, and Carey and her family has had to adjust to accommodate her disease. They have found that communicating with her through music makes her happy and relaxes her, so Carey has started making her mix tapes. She stresses how important it is to spend time with Alzheimer’s patients, and how unique every person that suffers from this disease is.
