Bill Heibein of Thunder Bay, Canada has Alzheimer’s. Living with the disease has required him to adapt to his new reality, but that doesn’t mean he’s lost his sense of self or his independence. Bill hopes that everyone who encounters people suffering from Alzheimer’s will learn to “see the person, not the disease” after learning someone has dementia.
