AARP’s Amy Goyer has had years of experience working with individuals who are aging, but even with this experience she admits that it was a challenge when it was time for her to become her parents’ caregiver. After moving out of their home of 28 years, living in a senior community for two, Amy noticed that her parents needed 24-hour care. She decided to have them move in with her.
