Alzheimer’s Patient Candidly Discusses Disease

Gary Ellis was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s three years ago, and he’s still holding steady. While three years may not seem like a long time to some, it may seem quite long to others! “I try to stay active,” Gary says, “and I can tell that my brain is working better when I’m doing things, whether it’s exercise or reading, or walking or talking.”

In the following interview, Gary answers some commonly asked questions about what it’s like living with the disease. He offers advice on what to do (read up on your condition!) and talks about the struggles he has (like getting down on himself). Take a look at the video to hear more from Gary!
