Alzheimer’s disease affects millions of people, from those battling the disease to the people who care for them. Movies and plays are a powerful platform for raising Alzheimer’s awareness. A new production by Peter M. Floyd entitled “Absence,” which recently ran at the at the Boston Playwright’s Theatre, tells the story of a woman going through Alzheimer’s and the challenges she faces.
