Geneticists at the MRC Center at Cardiff University are working hard to determine the cause of Alzheimer’s disease on a molecular level. In fact, their most recent study was able to identify eleven genes that affect a person’s risk for developing Alzheimer’s!

Many American elders depend on Medicare for coverage of treatment they need during their golden years, but Medicare does not cover long-term care for Alzheimer’s leaving family and loved ones to shoulder a care burden currently estimated to be worth over $217 billion.
