A Child’s Take On Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s disease can be difficult for a child to understand. All they see is their beloved family member slipping away and treating them differently. The young girl in this video knows that her great grandmother has dementia, and says that sometimes it is tough because she gets in a lot of fights with her, but that doesn’t change the fact that she loves her. Never letting the negative diagnosis tarnish their special relationship, this young girl still cherishes the memories she has shared with her great grandmother.
